Nine Mile Canyon Coalition’s Stewardship Day
Saturday September 28, 2024
Come learn about the canyon and it's cultural history from archaeologists, descendant communities, and cultural site stewards.
Be prepared for a free fun day outside in Nine Mile Canyon. Walk away with a deepened sense of who the ancient peoples were that passed through the canyon. Understand the cultural landscape, and why it must be preserved and protected.
Play and learn about archaeology through hands-on activities for all ages.
Please be aware that the turn at the junction of Miller's gas station and Highway 6 is currently closed. To access the canyon, you will need to take an alternative route. A Stewardship Day Flag will be positioned at the detour off of Highway 6 to help guide you in the right direction. For further details, please refer to the picture provided that outlines the new route.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you there!
